After waking up to ‘Sneijder to United’ rumours for 3 consecutive days, I thought it was time to look into this with a little more detail.

Understandably, a lot has already been written/discussed about this so don’t bite my head off for chucking my 2 cents into this!

As Manchester United close in on their summer signings, many fans feel the possible signing of Udinese’s Chilean superstar Alexis Sanchez will be signed to replace last seasons Player’s Player of the Year Nani in what seems to be a massive overhaul of the clubs attacking players. With Aston Villa’s Ashley Young seemingly a done deal, it appears the club are signing one too many right-footed attacking wingers, and therefore Nani will have to make way. I personally see things differently. In my opinion the  player to make way will be Dimitar Berbatov. With only one year left on his contract, Sir Alex will see this as a perfect opportunity to let the Bulgarian go. He has not been used in the big games and is being seen as a ‘flat track bully’ by some. If Sir Alex sees this the same way, and the fact that Berbatov was left out of the Champions League Final squad altogether suggests that he does, then that could only mean that the manager sees him as being expendable.

This time last year I, like many, were crying out for wholesale changes at the club. Sir Alex called for calm and signed a young Mexican called Javier Hernandez and an unproven English centre back named Chris Smalling. Is he crazy? Turns out he really, REALLY isn't.

Those two buys have proved pivotal in our season this year. Chicharito has provided over 20 goals and Chris Smalling stepped into Rio's shoes when he was injured. We have seen two young lads

It looks like being a big summer transfer window for Manchester United, with several players moving on, and the squad needing rebuilt. Even after the success of this season - winning the Premiership and reaching a third Champions League final in four years, it is crucial the correct transfers are made to ensure future success for United.

Here is an overview of the players I feel United should be looking to sign this summer with a few words on who I believe should be allowed to leave.
